Kubernetes (also called K8s) is the new emerging standard for multi-cloud deployment. Many engineers have moved away from self-hosted Kubernetes options and onto managed services like AWS' Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
This half-day introductory EKS training is perfect for those who have never deployed EKS and want to learn about this popular technology.

Course Outline
Using Cloud9 IDE as your CLI platform
- Installing kubectl in your platform along with other AWS pre-requisites
- Using eksctl to single command deploy your Kubernetes cluster (15-minute wait)
- Deploying the Kubernetes dashboard and a sample microservice
- Deleting and cleaning up the K8s cluster
Setup requirements: Each attendee must have their own AWS account. In this first session we can assist in the setup if needed. For other courses in the series you will use your same AWS account.
